We started Kynetyk because we think the intersection of AI and human experience is the most interesting space to be working in right now — and we wanted to be in it from every angle.
Not just writing about it. Not just building products. Not just advising companies. All three, because we think those activities make each other better.
Three things, under one roof
We write. Commentary, analysis, and practical testing of AI models, tools, and ideas. We try to bring a Consumer Reports sensibility to a space that moves fast and generates a lot of noise. If we test something, we’ll show our work. If we have an opinion, we’ll tell you why.
We build. Kynetyk Studio is where we make products that explore how humans and AI work together on the same team. Our first two projects are focused on making the AI you’ve already invested in more nimble, more useful, and more fun: Jamb for Mac, a floating reference layer for deep work that keeps what you need visible while you stay in flow — and that your AI can read and write to directly, and House Rules, a tabletop game platform that puts AI and humans around the same table. More are coming.
We help. For companies and founders who want hands-on guidance, we offer consulting and development services. Practical help getting AI projects off the ground — for any industry, at any scale.
Why we’re writing
This is genuinely new territory. The tools are evolving fast, the best practices are still being written, and the gap between what AI can do and what most people know it can do is still enormous.
We’ve learned a lot — from building products, from working with companies, from testing every model and framework we can get our hands on. Some of what we’ve learned has been surprising. Some of it has saved us real time and money (and certainly some heartache). We think sharing it openly is more valuable than keeping it to ourselves.
Whether you’re someone exploring AI for the first time, a builder deep in the weeds, or a leader trying to figure out what this means for your organization — we hope what we write here is useful to you.
What to expect
We’ll be writing about how AI and humans work together — in practice, not in theory. That includes hands-on testing of models and tools, frameworks for thinking about AI strategy, commentary on where the industry is headed, and updates on what we’re building in the Studio.
